The inclusion of Greece in the visa-waiver programwas requested by 41 members of Congress, in a letter to US Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton and Secretary of Homeland Security, Janet Napolitano asking that the issue be resolved as soon as possible.
Greek expatriate women were honored for the second consecutive year in Thessaloniki on Wednesday night in a special ceremony hosted by the Prefecture of Thessaloniki in cooperation with the World Council of Hellenes Abroad (SAE).
A series of events titled "Kalash and Kalasha", Greek sounds from Central Asia is being organized by the Municipality of Peristeri with three documentaries and a photographic exhibit from Wednesday April 1 to Saturday April 4th.
An evening devoted to the songs of love, pain, and those who deserted their country for a better future is being organized by the Municipality of Peristeri.

The inclusion of Greece in the visa-waiver programwas requested by 41 members of Congress, in a letter to US Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton and Secretary of Homeland Security, Janet Napolitano asking that the issue be resolved as soon as possible.
At the same time, it was underlined that Greece had met all of its preconditions in order to be included in the program. It was also noted that the long term relations between the two countries as strategic partners would also ensure security for the United States with Greece's inclusion in the program and would also strengthen the economic, cultural and political ties between the two countries.
Among others, the letter was signed by Carolyn Maloney, Elton Gallegly, Gus Bilirakis, Ileana Lehtinen, Nii Tsongas, John Sarbanes, Zack Space, Dina Titus and Suzanne Kosmas.
