Thessaloniki prefect speaks about ethnic Greeks in Georgia

Thessaloniki prefect, Panayiotis Psomiades sent a letter to Deputy Foreign Minister, Theodoros Kassimis concerning the situation of the Greek population in Georgia.

In his letter, Mr. Psomiades expresses his sensitization to the humanitarian crisis that has arisen in the Caucuses following the recent conflicts in the Caucuses and Georgia. He also stressed that in event the International Developmental Cooperation Service offers financial assistance, the prefecture of Thessaloniki has the preparedness and ability to organize the safe transfer and hospitality of children from the stricken areas to the summer camps of the prefecture of Thessaloniki.
