During an event held in Budapest for the 57th
anniversary since the founding of the Nikos Belogiannis village in
Hungary, the Greek Ambassador to Hungary, Dimitris Kypraios handed over
a check to the city’s mayor, Kostas Rizoggiannis on behalf of the
Hellenic Parliament, following a decision by the President of the
Parliament, Dimitris Sioufas. The financial aid will help in the remodeling of the elementary school in the village which is home to a large number of Greeks. The village’s mayor expressed his gratitude for the donation and stressed that the sum would significantly contribute to the school’s development which is Greek educations’ guardian for the local Greek community.
