Sioufas mesagge to 4th Comference for Young Overseas Cypriots

The President of the Hellenic Parliament, Dimitirs Sioufas sent a message to the 4th Conference of the World Organisation for Young Overseas Cypriots (NEPOMAK) taking place in Nicosia from August 19-22.

Mr. Sioufas speech was read by the head of the Greek Parliamentary delegation, Nikos Tsiartsonis on the conference’s opening day, Tuesday, August 19th.
In the speech, Mr. Sioufas expressed the hope that the next conference would take place in a reunited Nicosia, after the upcoming September negotiations between the President of Cyprus, Dimitris Christofias, and Turkish Cypriot leader, Mehmet Ali Talat that will hopefully lead to a democratic, European, operational and viable solution that will put an end to the occupation of northern Cyprus.
Mr. Sioufas characterized the Federation of Expatriate Cypriots and the communities of Cypriots around the world as proud example of Cypriot spirit which is in need of strength for the struggle for the common obligation.
