The board of the Parents’ Association
of the Greek School of Frankfurt last week received the Council for
Hellenes Abroad (CHA) Coordinator for Europe, George Amarantidis.
The procedure for election
of a new board of directors for the World Council of Cretans took place
in Rethymno, Crete, following the successful tenure of the previous
board, under the presidency of the federation of the US, headed by president,
Stavros Simantiras.
Thessaloniki prefect, Panayiotis Psomiades sent a letter to Deputy Foreign Minister, Theodoros Kassimis concerning the situation of the Greek population in Georgia.
For the first time, women from Maroussi willl be able to participate in the poetry competition being organized for the 10th consecutive year by the Municipality of Faenza, Italy, the first city that twinned with the municipality of Thessaloniki.

Poetry unites Maroussi-Faenza

For the first time, women from Maroussi willl be able to participate in the poetry competition being organized for the 10th consecutive year by the Municipality of Faenza, Italy, the first city that twinned with the municipality of Thessaloniki.
The local prefectural administration of Grevena, Northern Greece honors astrophysicist, Thanassis Oikonomou by proposing to give his name to name the observatory of Pindos after him.
