Germany: Disappointing data on migrant assimilation
Συντάχθηκε απο τον/την Θεόφιλος Δουμάνης

Data is disappointing in a German government report on migrant assimilation, but the general picture is misleading say officials of Greek-German organisations. "Poor, unemployed and lacking education", is how the magazine, "Der Spiegel" has described migrants, on the basis of the report's conclusions, which highlights huge differences between Germans and migrants regarding living conditions, education, the labour market and crime.

Commenting on the report, the vice-president of the German-Hellenic Business Association (DHW), Phaedon Kotsambopoulos, said the data published in the newspapers were generalizations, and clarified that the unemployment figures for Greek migrants were much lower than those quoted. He also said that the problems for Greek migrants in Germany were being tackled.
