The Give Us Your Poor concert on November 16 at Boston's Strand Theatre was a night to remember. The exclusive appearances of Natalie Merchant, Mighty Sam McClain, Greek tenor Mario Frangoulis and others including previously homeless musicians was exciting and at the same time, deeply moving.
Accompanying the concert, there were stunning large, framed portraits of homeless people by photographer Lynn Blodgett. The concert featured three of the most amazing voices in the music industry, as well as formerly homeless musicians from the "Give US Your Poor" CD, compelling stories, video messages and a reading also by poet Julia Dinsmore.
