| Demonstration in Melbourne on the “Greekness” of Macedonia |

With the participation of thousands of Greek-Australians of all ages, a demonstration was held in Melbourne on Sunday, to stress the message that Macedonia is Greek.
The march began at the corner of Victoria and Nicholson streets, ending up at the stairs to the Victorian State Parliament, and the crowd was addressed by various prominent personalities. A message was read from Australian Labour Party leader Kevin Rudd, giving assurances that his government - following next Saturday's national elections - will continue to refer to that country as FYROM, until the dispute with Greece is settled.
