The 95th anniversary of the liberation of Chios island from the Turkish yoke on November 11, 1912, was celebrated recently by the Chios Federation of America and the Pan-Chiot Association "Korais" at an event organized in Astoria, New York.
It was preceded in the morning by a church service in Brooklyn.
