The chairman of parliament’s Special Standing Committee for Greeks Living Abroad, Nikos Tsiartsionis recently met with Greek-Australian students visiting Greece within a special Athens University program. Tsiartsionis welcomed the young visitors and conveyed to them greetings from the Speaker of the House, Dimitris Sioufas, as well as his strong interest in Greeks living abroad. Subsequently, he referred to the role and work of the committee and the Greek state’s desire to establish the vote in national elections for expatriate Greeks at their places of residence.
