Presentation in Australian Senate for return of Parthenon Marbles

The good news about the New Acropolis Museum has reached as far as the Australian Federal Senate, which 0 on the initiative of the Greens - adopted a resolution in favour of ther return of the Parthenon Marbles. According to the Australian Associated Press, the proposal was submitted on Wednesday by the Greens Party leader, Bob Brown, calling on the Prime Minister Kevin Rudd, to pressure the British government for the return of the sculptures. 

During the Senate debate, the Greek-Australian senator from Adelaide, NIkos Xenophon, called for - and succeeded - in having the description of the sculptures changed from the "Elgin" Marbles to the "Parthenon" Marbles.
