Την ψηφοφορία διοργανώνει ο δικτυακός τόπος www.new7wonders.com/nature/en/nomimation και η διαδικασία� θα ολοκληρωθεί στα τέλη Ιανουαρίου του 2009,όταν και θα επιλεγούν οι 21 περιοχές που θα λάβουν τις περισσότερες ψήφους.Στη συνέχεια θα επαναληφθεί η διαδικασία για να αναδειχτούν τα 7 θαύματα της φύσης.Η ψηφοφορία αναμένεται ότι θα ξεπεράσει τις 1 δισ. ψήφους μέσω του Διαδικτύου.
