A circular released by the Turkish education ministry has removed powers and responsibilities previously held by mandatory Turkish deputy headmasters appointed to private schools set up by minority ethnic groups, relative to their own ethnic minority headmaster.

Bιβλίο με τις άγνωστες πτυχές του Ελληνισμού του Καυκάσου
Άγνωστές πτυχές του Ελληνισμού του Καυκάσου διαφωτίζει το βιβλίο "Η εφημερίδα «Κόκινος Καπνας», του ιστορικού-ερευνητή Βλάση Αγτζίδη, ο οποίος διέσωσε το μοναδικό αρχείο της εφημερίδας, από το εμπόλεμο Σοχούμι του Καυκάσου το 1993.Το κρυμμένο αρχείο αυτής της σπάνιας εφημερίδας, ανακάλυψε πριν από χρόνια ο ιστορικός-ερευνητής Bλάσης Αγτζίδης. Τον Αύγουστο του 1991, με την συνδρομή του ελληνικού κράτους, το φωτογράφησε σε μικροφίλμ και το μετέφερε στην Ελλάδα. Τα μικροφίλμ αυτά αποτελούν, δυστυχώς, τη μόνη μορφή στην οποία σώζονται τα ντοκουμέντα αυτά, καθώς στη διάρκεια του ταραχών, μεταξύ Γεωργιανών και Αμπχαζίων (1992-1993), το μοναδικό αυτό σώμα των εφημερίδων του "Κόκινου Καπνα", κάηκε μαζί με όλο το ιστορικό αρχείο του Σοχούμι. Η μελέτη αυτή του Βλάση Αγτζίδη, που κράτησε χρόνια, βλέπει σήμερα το φως της δημοσιότητας μέσα από τις σελίδες του βιβλίου του, με τίτλο, "Η εφημερίδα 'Κόκινος Καπνας' και ο ελληνισμός του Καυκάσου (1932-1937)", που μόλις κυκλοφόρησε από τις "Εναλλακτικές Εκδόσεις".
