A journey to Aghia Sophia was aired last night by Christos Vassilopoulos in the program, “Time Machine” broadcast by the state-run NET television. The program brought to life the legends and traditions of the Byzantine Empire, as well as the history of the famous church, which has survived pillage, raids and deadly earthquakes. 

The program also presented the main historical landmarks of Aghia Sophia, while highlighting in detail the places and people that wrote history, the unique dome, the gold altar looted by the Crusaders, the mosaics and other treasures.
