Parliamentarians Olga Kefalogianni and Thaleia Dragona, members of the Special Permanent Committee for Equality and Rights of Humans are in New York in order to participate in today's annual conference on the role of Parliaments in promoting the equal distribution of responsibilities between men and women. The conference is organized by the Inter-parliamentary Union and the United Nations Division for the Advancement of Women.

In the meantime, MP's, Athena Korka-Konsta (ND-Corinth) and Dimitra Arapoglou (LAOS-B' Piraeus), President and member respectively of the Special Permanent Committee for Equality, Youth and Human Rights were in Brussels on March 4th where they participated at the conference "Women and the European elections" which was conducted on an initiative of the European Parliament's committee for the Rights of Women and Gender Equality on the occasion of World Women's Day.
