Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa, Theodore, had an unscheduled meeting last Friday with the Metropolitan Bishop of Kenya, Makarios, to discuss the bloody events taking place in the African country, as a result of the civil strife among three major tribes.
The aim of the meeting was to arrange for a meeting of these tribes, so that peace may return to Kenya. The Bishop of Kenya appealed for help and support for those affected by the ongoing tragedy, while the Bishopric has distributed large quantities of food, clothing and emergency supplies to the Kenyans, irrespective of tribe and religion.
