The book, “Diggers and Greeks” by expatriate historian, Dr. Maria Hill was presented in Canberra giving a greater push to the call for the greatest and more justifiably sight recognition for the Australian veterans that participated in the military operations in Greece during WWII.
A years long effort by Greek-Australian officials s come to a positive end as the first Greek Orthodox Church built in Australia, and the southern hemisphere, has been declared a historical monument and will now be included in the New South Wales Heritage Council.
Australian television viewers submitted their own personal preferences, differentiating themselves from European viewers with respect to the Eurovision Song Contest that was broadcast on Australia’s multicultural television channel SBS.
“Our aim is to invest in language, history and culture, these are the central elements around which the educational part of the Diaspora will be developed – and we will proceed to a restructuring of the Diaspora educational system.
A special invitation addressed to Hellenes abroad, to support the country by choosing Greece for their holidays this summer, will be issued by the Ministry of Culture.

Δηλώνει ότι τα μεγάλα θέματα που θα αναδείξει στην εκστρατεία του είναι η μεταρρύθμιση στο σύστημα υγείας και η καταπολέμηση των κρατικών επεμβάσεων και φόρων που θα επιβραδύνουν τον ρυθμό ανάπτυξης και θα αυξήσουν την ανεργία. Επίσης θα αντισταθεί στην προσπάθεια των ομοσπονδιακών αρχών να μειώσουν την χρηματοδότηση της αντιτρομοκρατικής ασφάλειας για την Νέα Υόρκη.
