With a letter to organisations of Greeks living abroad, the president of the Special Standing Committee for Expatriate Hellenism, Nikos Tsiartsionis, has notified them of the composition of the parliamentary committee and has briefed them on its success in issues involving expatriate Greeks. The new composition will be valid from October 18. In the letter, Tsiartsionis adds that long-standing requests by the committee have been accepted and, according to a decision by the Speaker of the House, Dimitris Sioufas, an office has been set up to meet the need for communication between the committee and expatriate Greeks. Together with other decisions, this will greatly facilitate communication and will essentially ensure cooperation between the Greek parliament and expatriate Greek organisations.
