At a special ceremony held at the Greek embassy in Paris yesterday, Foreign Minister Dora Bakoyanni awarded the medal of the Order of the Phoenix to three distinguished French academics, on behalf of President of the Republic Karolos Papoulias. Bakoyanni
referred to the contribution of the three academics to the

expressed through the three basic values, that are common to both
countries: democracy, peace and the harmonious coexistence of peoples."
Bakoyanni will also participate in a two-day European Union-Central
