Culture Minister M. Liapis attends Byzantium exhibit

Culture Minister, Mihlais Liapis attended the opening of the Exhibition “Byzantium 330-1453” at the Royal Academy of Arts a few days ago which was inaugurated by Prime Minister, Kostas Karamanlis.
Culture Minister, Mihlais Liapis attended the opening of the Exhibition “Byzantium 330-1453” at the Royal Academy of Arts a few days ago which was inaugurated by Prime Minister, Kostas Karamanlis.

In his statements, Mr. Liapis noted that the exhibit at the Royal Academy of Arts presents a superb picture of Byzantine culture with rare exhibits which are on display at the same locale for the first time. Liapis described the exhibit as unique saying it comprised a significant example of the excellent cooperation between Greece and Britain in the area of culture. Lastly, he expressed the hope to see future similar exchanges between museums with antiquities from classical Greece.
