The Mayor of New York, Michael Bloomberg, has telephoned the Archbishop of America, Dimitrios, to express his deep sorrow about the death of the late Archbishop of Athens and All Greece, Christodoulos.
Bloomberg requested Archbishop Dimitrios to convey his warm condolences
to the family of the late prelate, as well as to the members of the
Holy Synod of the Church of Greece. The head of the Greek Orthodox Church in America arrived in Athens late last night for today’s funeral of Archbishop Christodoulos.
