Finance Minister George Alogoskoufis departed for Great Britain yesterday, as the head of a Greek delegation.
He will attend an annual economic and investment conference on the
Greek economy, organized by the Hellenic-British Chamber of Commerce.
The minister is being accompanied by the General Secretary for Fiscal
Policy, Lucas Papazoglou, the prime minister’s economic advisor, Eleni
Louri, and the president of the Council of Economic Experts,
Plutarchos Sakellaris. Last night, Alogoskoufis was the keynote speaker at a dinner organized by the Hellenic Bankers Association, on the topic of developments in the Greek banking system. On Monday, February 18, the finance minister will address an event at Oxford University on the subject: “Globalisation and the European Social Model”.
