The leading Greek-American body, AHEPA, is organizing 3-day events next week in Washington, the aim of which are to promote Greece’s national issues and matters concerning expatriate Greeks. At the same time, AHEPA’s annual awards will be presented, as well as those of the women’s organisation, The Sisters of Penelope. Events will begin on Thursday, with a visit to the Capitol and meetings with members of the House of Representatives and the Senate. Representatives from the Council for Hellenes Abroad (CHA), the Pan-Macedonian Union the Cypriot Federation, PSEKA, the Pan-Cretan Union, the Pan-Epirot Federation and other organisations, have been invited.
