7th Conference on the Greek Language

The 7th Conference on the Greek Language has been organised by the Organisation for the Dissemination of the Greek Language to take place in Messolonghi on September 18-20 this year. The general theme of the conference will be “The teaching of Modern Greek throughout the world”.  


The object of the conference is to note the situation prevailing in Greece and abroad in relation to the teaching of Greek as a foreign language and to discuss related issues such as: who is teaching Greek in various countries, how many and what teaching methods are used, what books are utilized, and how is learning of the language certified. Its main aim is to define a general framework of communication between the various bodies involved in Greece and those abroad.
