The composition of the Hellenic Parliament's Friendship Groups was announced by the President of the Hellenic Parliament, Dimitris Sioufas yesterday.
"Parliamentary Diplomacy comprises our basic priority. The common goal is the promotion of our country's positions on significant international issues, promoting our national interests, strengthening international cooperations and friendship ties with parliaments of other countries. Playing a protagonistic role in this effort are Parliament's Friendship Groups, each of which assumes the responsibility to develop contacts, ties and cooperations. During the creation of the Friendship Groups, we sought the participation with all political parties, with special emphasis placed on the intraparty character of the presidiums", stated Mr. Sioufas. The responsibility for the operation and organization of the Parliamentary Friendship Groups belongs to the Hellenic Parliament's First Vice-president, George Sourlas. Set as favorite
