With the traditional ceremony of the Blessing of the Waters and diving for the Holy Cross in the bay of Spring Bayou, Epiphany was celebrated this year once again in Tarpon Springs, shortly after a service at the St. Nicholas cathedral, officiated by the Archbishop of America, Dimitrios.

Celebrations for the Blessing of the Waters were held yesterday in Australian cities, attended by thousands of Greek-Australians. In Sydney, the Archbishop of Australia, Stylianos, officiated, while in Melbourne, the main ceremony was held at the city's port. Apart from Greek-Australians, the state's political leadership was also present.

Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa, Theodore, had an unscheduled meeting last Friday with the Metropolitan Bishop of Kenya, Makarios, to discuss the bloody events taking place in the African country, as a result of the civil strife among three major tribes.
