    Melbourne – The row between the former president of the Hellenic Community in Melbourne, G. Fountas and the current president Bill Papastergiadis is continuing. Responding to statements and clarifications by Papastergiadis on the issue of the well known cheque from Greece, Fountas - in the “Neos Kosmos” newspaper – questioned if Papastergiadis will ever tell the truth on the matter.

“Respecting the memory of those fallen and the struggle of the Polytechnic uprising, World Hellenism honors all those who fought against the dictatorship and those who contributed to the consolidation of Democracy in the homeland. "We have an obligation to the young generation to convey the messages of that era to today, staying vigilant to ensure that similar situations, like the ones experienced by the Greek people during the seven-year dictatorship, will never emerge again”.
