Children throughout Greece have been invited to submit artwork for consideration in this year's Unilever International School Art Project (UISAP) to be held at the Tate Modern in London, it was announced yesterday.
With the holding of the 2nd Scientific Conference of Pontian Studies, the northern Greek city of Drama will find itself the focus of Pontian Greeks and the international scientific community, on September 27 and 28.

Pontian Studies conference in Drama

With the holding of the 2nd Scientific Conference of Pontian Studies, the northern Greek city of Drama will find itself the focus of Pontian Greeks and the international scientific community, on September 27 and 28.
The conference, which will take place at the President Constantine
Karamanlis amphitheatre, will be attended by eminent speakers and
prominent scientific personalities from all over the world.
In their speeches, the two professors from Russia, three from Great
Britain, four from the US, one each from Cyprus and Turkey, and 15 from
Greece, are expected to enrich the history of Pontian Hellenism and
illuminate aspects of the Pontian issue. Professors Sergei Karpov,
Rustam Shukurov, Heath Lowry and Taner Akcam are just some of the
distinguished experts invited to attend.
