The President of the Greek American Teachers Federation Stella Kokoli has announced the start of an open and candid dialogue with expatriate Greek organisations for the future of the Greek language and education in the United States. She was speaking to “Greek News”, after the first general assembly of the organisation, held last Saturday at the archdiocese’ cultural centre in Astoria, New York.
In a series of letters, kidnapped Greek volunteer Thanassios Lerounis has appealed to the Pakistani government to arrange his release and safe return to Greece.
Philip Tsiaras, a Diaspora Greek and world renowned artist who lives and works in New York, is currently presenting a retrospective photography exhibition at the Photography Museum of Thessaloniki.
