Public dialogue on the major issues concerning the Greek community in the United States was held at the Chiot House in Astoria on Saturday, April 19, by the Independent Citizen Committee for the Disillusionment of Hellenes in the USA.
The event was organised and coordinated by the greekamericannewsagency.com. "Where are we going as an ethnic community?" "What are the common visions an aims that unite us?" "Institutions of the family, their smooth running and our Democratic sensitivities", were just some of the issues discussion. Participating in the dialogue were Greek-Americans, young people, researchers, teachers, academics, artists, literary figures, members of local ethnic associations, officials, students and schoolchildren.
