Other Grand Marshals of this year's parade include, expatriate entrepreneur and President of Pinnacle foods, Dean Mitropoulos and the National Charity of the Archdiocese in the face of of the organization's president, Georgia Skiada.
According to the parade's committee chairman, John Katsimatides, the name of yet another Grand Marshall remains to be announced, a personality from the entertainment world, aimed at attracting American media attention.
Mr. Katsimatides called on everyone to intensify their efforts in the remaining three weeks leading up to the parade, in order to make this year's parade the most successful ever, not only in attendance but organizationally and financially.
Emphasis was placed in particular on the issue of the parade's television coverage by Katsimatides, who noted that four individuals or businesses are needed for a half hour sponsorship that would cover the two-hour parade on channels 9 and FOX. The sponsorship for last year's television coverage was provided by Atlantic Bank with the sum of 30 thousand dollars.
