Humanitarian aid to victims

Humanitarian is being sent by Greece to the Caucuses following pleas for assistance to the victims of the recent conflict in the area.

The Greek Air Force announced that a Greek military C-130 aircraft, carrying a total of 14 tons in tents, blankets, medicines etc, arrived in Georgia yesterday. The Foreign Ministry, in cooperation with the Ministries of Defense, Health and Social Solidarity and non-governmental organizations collected the aid. 

In addition, Greece will offer 100,000 euros through the UN High Commission for Refugees, who were displaced from South Ossetia to the North.
