Greek-Australian television news presenter Mary Costakidou has parted ways with Australia’s second state TV channel, SBS. For years, Costakidou was one of the top personnel at SBS, which was established in 1978, to give a television voice and image to migrant communities and to promote Australia’s multicultural mosaic.However, recently she had a row with the channel, maintaining that it had not observed the conditions of her contract. In fact, she had filed a lawsuit over the issue with the Federal Court.
