Shocking testimonies of people who lived through the horror of torture, executions and death squads. Stories from prisons, torments and torturers throwing prisoners alive out of airplanes are presented in the documentary “The List of Silence”, directed by Nikos Vezyrgiannis and based on Pavlos Nerantzis’s research and screenplay. After long research, the world premiere of the documentary - based on an issue, which still is an “open wound” for the world - will be presented at the Documentary Festival of Thessaloniki.

American pressures on Skopje
Σύνταξη/επιμέλεια από τον/την Θεόφιλος Δουμάνης
Following interventions by friends of Greece, members of the US Senate – such as senators Barack Obama, Robert Menendez and Olympia Snow – the SR 459 bill, which supports the NATO entry of Croatia, Albania and FYROM, was withdrawn by its backers, Richard Lugar and George Voinovic.
Although its withdrawal occurred for procedural reasons, it appears
that its supporters were persuaded that it would not help the United
Nations’ mediation between Greece and the Former Yugoslav Republic of
Macedonia on the name dispute between the two countries.
Meanwhile, just a few days before a new round of talks between Athens
and Skopje on the thorny issue of a mutually acceptable name for the
Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, a key ethnic Albanian party has
threatened to quit the neighbouring country’s coalition government
unless the prime minister meets a series of demands, including
recognizing Kosovo's independence.
